Property rises from the doldrums

Article Abstract:

The real estate industry in Tyne and Wear, England, has recovered during the 1990s following problems which began in the 1970s. The waterfront area of Newcastel has benefited from two investments, the Newcastle Business Park, sponsored by Tyne and Wear Urban Development Corp, and the Quayside scheme of Amec Development. Planning policies are likely to affect the market for industrial real estate. The retail industry of the north east of England has always shown a strong performance.
