Article Abstract:

Stockbrokers assess a number of factors when selecting investment trusts and these include continuity, the size of the client's portfolio, and the attitude of managers to their investments. Continuity is important since the departure of key personnel can affect the rating of a trust. A flexible approach is useful since trust managers should be able to changes in world trends. Discounts can make a trust attractive, but they should not be the sole reason for investing in that trust.
