Public relations (PR) professionals should be aware of the importance of negotiating skills in searhing for a job. This is why a number of PR professionals who have less than adequate negotiating skills often rely on headhunters to mediate in the hiring process. One of the most important things to remember during these negotiations, especially when it comes to the area of compensation, is to let the hiring manager make the first offer.
