Top marketers marching on many fronts

Article Abstract:

The Business Marketing Magazine released its list of the top 100 marketers in the US. Despite the economic recession, the majority of companies on the list increased their spending on advertising. While an escalation in direct marketing and reseller cooperation was noted, traditional mediums such as radio and television are increasingly being employed. Also, outdoor advertising and seminar marketing are gaining popularity among marketers. However, publications remain to be the most popular medium of advertising.

TV gets top ratings from business marketers

Article Abstract:

Business marketers are becoming more selective in the choice of television programs in which they will advertise their products. They now buy spots in television programs that correspond to the personality of their products. This segmentation technique is resorted to particularly by business-to-business advertisers who are more discriminating in their scrutiny of how television can fit into their overall media advertising mix.
