Johnston Industries Inc Pres Gerald Andrews bought 25,000 of the firm's shares at 10 1/4 last Oct 29, 1992. The textile manufacturing company stocks attained a recent 52-week high of 12 3/4 due to the creation of its Tech Textiles USA division. Johnston's 38% stakes in the very promising Jupiter National Inc also prompted the former's growth. Johnston also posted a 4.1% yield on 7.3 million shares of its 50-cent dividend.

Springs Industries, Inc
