Uncommon value campaign brands newspaper as a value

Article Abstract:

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal newspaper in Texas created its 'An Uncommon Value' campaign as a means of emphasizing the products and services the paper offers its clients at a relatively low cost. The campaign is also intended to build brand association, reinforce the newspaper's positive image and build a sense of pride about the paper among its employees. The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal's campaign compared the benefits derived by its readers to other non-print services and products.

Creative, popular ad offers newspaper delivery help

Article Abstract:

The Forum newspaper implemented a marketing campaign that communicated the fact that the newspaper's staff is willing to help customers with any delivery problems they might encounter. The newspaper's staff also relied on the creative and funny ads, which featured a baby in a Forum-covered diaper, to attract additional interest in the newspaper. The Forum staffers reported positive comments from consumers due the clever nature of the campaign.

Employment classified promos emulate newspaper's advice

The Herald-Times newspaper in Bloomington, IN, implemented a marketing campaign for its employment classified ads by following its own advice to newspaper advertisers. The campaign features strong headlines, good graphics, white space and no clutter. The Herald-Times' classified ads was not only successful with its readership, it also reaffirmed the newspaper's position as the top employment information source in its community.
