Nine insiders, the largest number reportedly getting out of stock, unloaded a total of 34,568 shares between May 1993 and Jun 1993 at prices ranging from $46 up to $51. Trading activity appears to be significant despite signs showing that the volume traded, which are mostly option-related, is not exceptionally large and stock trading is almost at its peak. Varian Associates engages in the manufacture of high-technology devices and instruments for use in various industries.
