Wireless windfalls...

Article Abstract:

Palmer Wireless Inc.'s share price has declined from a record high of $22.38 in 1996 to as low as $14.50 after the announcement in May 1998 that Price Communications Corp. will acquire Palmer at $17.50 per share. Meanwhile, 360 Degrees Communications Co.'s insider Lester Crown has accumulated more than 750,000 shares at prices between $19.75 and $21.63 each. Other telecommunications firms with insider acquisition activities include Mobile Telecomm. Tech, Glenayre Technologies, Paging Network, DSP Communications, ADC Telecommunications, Winstar Communications and Vanguard Cellular.

Aspect Development Inc.'s stock prices increased by nearly 100% since Apr. 1997 due to its strong performance. Despite the increase in prices, however, five executives have either disposed of or filed their intentions to sell 352,267 shares. VP James Althoff sold 55,000 shares while planning to sell 98,267 shares more. VP Kenneth Belanger sold 10,000 shares and intends to sell 30,000 more. Meanwhile, VP Craig Palmer, President Joseph Prang and Chairman Romesh Wadhwani plan to dispose of 10,000, 45,000 and 100,000 shares of stock, respectively.

Forcenergy Inc. - FGAS

Article Abstract:

The price of Forcenergy Inc.'s shares have plunged by 25% to its current trading level of $27. The decrease is caused by warming trends and the decline in natural gas prices. Forecenergy executives, however, have accumulated stocks totalling 11,600 shares since Jan. 20, 1997. President Stig Wennerstrom bought 4,000 shares which brings his accumulated total shares to 22,000. Vice President James Russell and Director William Wallace bought 1,000 shares and 1,500 shares respectively while Gary Loveless bought 5,100 shares.
