Wynne weighs overlaps of F/A-18, JSF carrier versions

Article Abstract:

The House Armed Service Committee vice chairman, Rep. Curt Weldon is considering whether the nation can continue to afford development and production of three separate fighter aircraft. He indicates that one should not automatically assume the F/A-22 Raptor aircraft to be cut or eliminated as the other two fighters, in the Navy aircraft carrier versions, may have overlapping capabilities.
