You've surfed the web, now buy the shares

Article Abstract:

There is strong demand for internet services in the United Kingdom, and a number of key stocks offer access to this growth market. Some internet stock flotations were abandoned in fall 1998, and a correction in the market was expected, but the successful flotation of EarthWeb was followed by a comeback. Internet stock prices are often high, and internet companies may make losses. Investors can assess internet companies from their own computers, and make their own judgements.
