Employer responsibilities under the Americans With Disabilities Act

Article Abstract:

Employers are obliged to ensure that job application procedures allow disabled people to be considered for employment and the work environment has to be changed to suit a disabled person. The alterations may involve removing physical barriers or changing when work has to be done. Disabled staff also have to be able to enjoy the same benefits as able-bodied staff. An employer should find out what his employee's needs are by asking them and documentation may be requested which outlines what the disability is. This may come from the employee's physician or one that the employer has chosen.

Guess who's coming to campus: a guide to third-party recruiters

Article Abstract:

Employers and career service practitioners have legal obligations for using third-party recruiters to perform on-campus recruitment. One legal issue that concerns employers is the compliance of third-party recruiters with the equal employment opportunity standards and state employment laws. The disclosure of student information to third-party recruiters is the only legal issue that career service practitioners should consider.
