Getting started in TQM - a Tennessee experience

Article Abstract:

The Management Development Center of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville College of Business Administration shows how total quality management (TQM) applies in its Project Fill-Schedule program. The project aimed to create an efficient method of filling up interview schedules to provide students with more interview opportunities. The project team used TQM as the basis for their discussions which led them to address issues that they had taken for granted and focus more on the needs of students and employers. This resulted in the provision of better services and a new view on the interview sign-up process.
