The 1999 Employer of the Year is James A. (Tony) Michaels. C Randall Powell and William J. Banis have joined the Academy of Fellows and Susan Hansen won the Kauffman Award. University of California is the college winner in the Publications for Students category while the employer winner is Hewitt Associates LLC. Amoco and Central Pennsylvania Employment Consortium win awards for their audiovisual programs and Louisiana State University win an award for educational programming. Roosevelt University and Ernst & Young LLP win an award for technical innovations.

The Warren E. Kauffman Award

Article Abstract:

Norita Rehrig was given the Warren E. Kaufman Award in recognition of her invaluable contributions as director of professional programs at the National Assn of Colleges and Employers (NACE) formerly known as the College Placement Council. Rehrig rose through the ranks and started as manager of membership services. Her dedication and zeal in developing human resource programs and policies resulted to the improvement of the employee recruitment process.
