An experimental and theoretical study of the self-assembly of gold nanoparticles at the surface of functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes

Article Abstract:

The findings of the detailed study of the self-assembly of gold nanoparticles at the surface of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is reported. One of the key finding is that, under well-defined conditions the measured coverage of nanoparticles is very sensitive to the nature of the modified CNT surface and the contiguous environment, providing valuable insights that would underpin the rational design of functional nanoscale devices assembled from nanoparticles and CNT building blocks.

Potentiostatic modulation of the lifetime of light-induced charge separation in a heterosupermolecule

Article Abstract:

A study of a heterosupermolecule assembly by covalently linking a TiO (sub)2 ruthenium complex and a viologen has been investigated. Long-lived light-induced charge separation function and its potentiostatic modulation have been demonstrated.

Electron accumulation in nanostructured TiO2 (anatase) electrodes

Article Abstract:

Research is presented describing the effects of applied potentials and differing electrolyte compositions on electron accumulation by observing the dependant optical absorption spectroscopy of nanostructured TiO(sub-2) (anastase) electrodes.
