Analysis of simulated reversible cyclic voltammetric responses for a charged redox species in the absence of added electrolyte

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine simulated cyclic voltammetric responses associated with a dissolved redox salt with no added supporting electrolyte. The cyclic voltammetric responses were simulated with perfect and partial compensation. The Debye lengths were assumed to be significantly small compared to the dimensions of the depletion layers. Results indicated that cyclic voltammetry can determine the overall reversibility of the electrochemical process.

Surface alloying of lead as a step in the cathodic generation of the Pb9(super 4-) in Kl and RbBr liquid ammonia solutions

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the reduction of lead in liquid ammonia solutions of KI and RbBr at -70 degrees C using voltammetry, potensiostatic and galvanostatic methods. A three-compartment electrochemical cell supporting medium-porosity glass frits was utilized in the study. Experimental results indicated the formation for two intermetallic phases through the direct integration of the alkali metal into lead.

Redox characteristics of a de novo quinone proteina

Article Abstract:

The differences in the redox properties of protein-ligated 2,6-dimethylbenzoquinone (DMBQ) relative to the solvated quinine species are described. DMBQ, DMBQ thioether conjugated with N-acetyl-L-csysteine methyl) ester (bCys), and DMBQ thioether conjugated to [[alpha].sub.3]C are characterized by cyclic voltammetry using a 3-mercaptopropionoic acid modified gold electrode.
