Application of the Compatibility Relationship in Seeking a Functional Relationship among Species' Equilibrium Quantities in Complex Systems

Article Abstract:

A new algorithm, representing an important advance in determination of the functional relationship, is reported. Two experiments-Ashen's, involving the doping of silicon and DiLorenzo's involving the mole fraction effect are calculated to find the functional relationship between the Si contamination and rhe partial pressure of HCL and it is concluded that the calculated values are greater than the true values.

Laser-assisted formation of porous Si in diverse fluoride solutions: reaction kinetics and mechanistic implications

Article Abstract:

The formation rate of photoelectron etching of n-type Si without external bias to produce por-Si, is conveniently and reliably measured in situ by monitoring the radius of the pattern in the reflected laser beam. The effect of etchant composition and concentration on the por-Si formation rate shows that neither F(super -) nor H(super +) activities correlate with the rate.

Concerted use of slab and cluster models in an ab initio study of hydrogen desorption from the Si(100) surface

Article Abstract:

A combined slab and cluster model approach is suitable for obtaining accurate estimates of reaction and activation energies for surface processes. This approach for Si(100)/H(sub 2) system would be useful to provide a reliable, consistent set of data for later modeling of kinetics.
