Direct electron transfer of hemoglobin founded on electron tunneling of CTAB monolayer

Article Abstract:

Direct electron transfer and stable adsorption of hemoglobin (Hb) on a carbon paste (CP) electrode are obtained with the help of a single-chain cationic surfactant, such as cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). The studies have indicated that CTAB can form a complete monolayer with a high density of positive charges on the surface of the CP electrode, which has adsorbed negatively charged protein molecules via electrostatic interactions.

On the origin of mesoscopic inhomogeneity of conducting polymers

Article Abstract:

The studies of mesoscopic inhomogeneity of conducting polymers using scanning probe techniques such as Kelvin probe force microscopy (KFM) and current-sensing atomic force microscopy (CS-AFM) are presented.
