Effects of ions on the liquid crystalline mesophase of transition-metal salt: surfactant (CnEOm)

Article Abstract:

The structural behavior of various transition-metal salts in [M (H2O) x] Y2: H2O: CnEOmLC mesophases, going from water-rich salt: water: surfactant (ternary systems) to almost-water-free salt: surfactant (binary systems), a correlation with the coordination of a counteranion to a transition-metal ion, and the effect of chloride, perchlorate, nitrate, and mixed ions on the LC mesophase are discussed by means of microscopy, spectroscopy, and diffraction methods.

Oreintational tuning of monolayers of amphiphilic ruthenium (II) complexes for optimizing chirality distinction capability

Article Abstract:

The structure-property relations of various amphiphilic ruthenium (II) complex monolayers on sulphases containing different kinds of ions are studied. Surface pressure-are isotherm measurements, Brewster angle microscopy, and X-ray reflectivity measurement is employed.

Study of hyperfine and fine interaction of Nd3+ and Ce3+ ions in LaNbO4 and PrNbO4, crystals by X-band EPR ar liquid-helium temperatures

Article Abstract:

Features of the EPR study of fine and hyperfine interactions in the 143 Nd and 145 Nd isotopes and those of Nd3+ and Ce3+ are listed. The EPR tests were carried out at X-band (9.61 GHz) in the 4-30 K temperature range.
