Electroswitchable photoelectrochemistry by Cu(super 2+)-Polyacrylic acid/CdS-nanoparticle assemblies

Article Abstract:

The electrogenerated Cu(super 0) clusters formed in the poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) film facilitate the electron transport from photoexcited CdS nanoparticles to the electrode support and promote the generation of the photocurrent. It is demonstrated that the incorporation of metal ions (Cu(super 2+)) into CdS-PAA film generates an electroswitchable photoelectochemically active film.

Photoresponsive viscosity and host-guest association in aqueous mixtures of poly-cyclodextridn with azobenzene-modified poly(acrylic) acid

Article Abstract:

The composition of AMP and concentrations of samples are analyzed to study the inclusion complexes in solution of CD and AMP and the viscosity of these mixtures. The higher concentrations of these solutions show increased viscosity and large cluster formation and a significant response to UV and visible spectra which is not observed in the dilute solutions.

Photophysical properties and optoelectronic device applications of a novel naphthalene-vinylene type conjugated polymer

Article Abstract:

Photoinduced charge transfer and energy transfer reactions are examined using a new cyano-substituted naphthalene-vinylene type conjugated polymer. Optical absorption and emission spectra of thin films of mixtures of this polymer with the fullerene derivative exhibit interesting features indicating photoinduced charge transfer.
