Fabrication of upended taper-shaped cuprous thiocyanate arrays on a copper surface at room temperature

Article Abstract:

A new strategy is designed to form upended taper-shaped cuprous thiocyanate (CuCNS) arrays on a copper substrate with use of a simple solution-phase method at room temperature. The novel CuCNS arrays are approximately perpendicular to copper substrate surfaces and every single crystal shows an upended taper-like morphology and the CuCNS crystals grow directly on the conducting copper substrate with good electrical contact.

Fabrication of copper hydroxyphosphate with complex architectures

Article Abstract:

Copper hydroxyphosphate [Cu(sub 2)(OH)PO(sub 4)] with complex architectures are synthesized through a simple and mild hydrothermal route in the absence of any external inorganic additives or structure-directing templates. A simple and mild hydrothermal approach is demonstrated by elucidating and manipulating key conditions that affect shape-guiding process to precisely control the morphology of copper hydroxyphosphate.

Fabrication of malachite with a hierarchical sphere-like architecture

Article Abstract:

Malachite (Cu(sub 2)(OH)(sub 2)CO(sub 3)) with a hierarchical sphere-like architecture was synthesized through a simple and mild hypothermal route in the absence of external inorganic additives or organic structure-directing templates. The initial concentration of reagents, the hypodermal reaction time, and temperature were important factors that dominantly affect the evolution of crystal morphologies.
