GERMANY/CANADA: 3H-LACKE, CHEMCRAFT COOPERATE
Article Abstract:
3H-Lacke Lackfabrik Hammen & Co of Hiddenhausen, Germany, and Chemcraft International Inc. of Port Hope, Ontario, Canada, have signed a cooperation agreement. The two producers of coatings for furniture, doors, panels and wooden floors are to exchange knowhow concerning marketing, raw materials and technology. The German company with 180 staff and an annual turnover of about DM 85mn sells its products mainly in Germany, the rest of the European Union and eastern Europe. Chemcraft, which has 220 staff and a turnover of about US$ 50mn, is represented in North America. It has a production plant also in Princewill, Quebec.

Swiss Wil-based IG Pulvertechnik AG aims to become a leader in the Polish powder coatings market in the medium term. The company has set up a new subsidiary called IGP Polska Sp.z.o.o in Milanowek. With effect from 1 July 2000 the new company took over the powder coatings operations of the Swiss parent's distribution partner Brennpol.
