Generalized two-dimensional heterocorrelation analysis of spectrally resolved and temporally resolved fluorescence of the 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonate-apomyoglobin complex with pH perturbation

Article Abstract:

A demonstration of two-dimensional heterocorrelation analysis between spectrally resolved and temporally resolved fluorescene is presented to investigate the decay dynamics of the 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonate-(ANS-) apomyoglobin complex. The relative decay dynamics across the emission spectra are resolved without measuring fluorescence lifetime at each wavelength as in the approach of decay-associated spectra.

Dynamics interfacial dilational properties of hydroxy-substituted alkyl benzenesulfonates

Article Abstract:

The dilational properties of hydroxy-substituted alkyl benzenesulfonates are studied by using oscillating the bubble method at water-air and water-decane interfaces. The structural changes in surfactant influence the distinct maxima in dilational modulus vs time curves in some cases.

SF(sub 5)-terminated fluorinated schiff base liquid crystals

Article Abstract:

Novel liquid crystals based on fluorinated carbon chains and terminated with SF(sub 5) groups are presented. The compound in this series reveals a high degree of undercooling, which is rationalized using finite size effects on nucleation.
