Hydrodynamic dimensions electrophoretic mobility, and stability of hydrophilic quantum dots

Article Abstract:

Dynamic light scattering are used to characterize the hydrodynamic radius of CdSe-ZnS quantum dots (QDs) capped with various hydrophilic surface coatings and self-assembled QD-protein bioconjugates. Results reveal that the effects of surface ligands on the hydrodynamic radius and on the nanoparticle mobility are complex and strongly depend on a combination of the inorganic core size and nature and lateral extension on the hydrophilic surface coating.

Effects of Ag doping on the photoluminescence of AnO films grown on Si substrates

Article Abstract:

Silver (Ag) doped and undoped ZnO films were grown on Si (100) substrates by the sol-gel process. The results reveal that doped Ag in ZnO films only enhances emission efficiency from free exciton recombination not giving rise to new emissions.

Stimulated emission in ZnO nanostrucutres: A time-resolved study

Article Abstract:

Stimulated emission was studied using time-integrated and time-resolved photoluminescence in ZnO comb, tetrapod, and rod nanostructures. The nanostructures were fabricated by vapor deposition and hydrothermal methods.
