INDIA: NEW TECHNOLOGY BY HEUBACH

Article Abstract:

Heubach has brought on stream a new waste recycling facility at its plant in Ankleshwar, India. The facility uses a technology developed by Heubach that allows almost wastefree production of phthalocyanine green pigments. The recycling facility produces aluminium hydroxide for the pharmaceutical industry. Heubach is planning a second green pigment factory in Ankleshwar. The 3,000-tpy facility is to be built within 18-24 months. In 1996 the company brought on stream a 2,000-tpy facility at the Indian site.

ITALY: EFFECT PIGMENTS BY SUPERCOLORI

Article Abstract:

In March 1999 the Italian company Supercolori is to start up a new pigment production plant. The 2,000-sq.m plant will produce Decosoft and Decosilk polyurethane pigments, for which Supercolori has acquired the licence. The company will be Europe's only producer of the pigments for coatings with a velvet- or peach-like surface. The pigments are to be marketed worldwide.

CHINA: DIN ISO 9002 FOR BAYER

Article Abstract:

The Chinese branch of the German technical surveillance office TUV Suddeutschland has awarded the DIN ISO 9002 quality certificate to Bayer Shanghai Pigments (BSP) as the first Chinese-based company in this business sector.
