Ionic transport behavior across charged membranes with low water content. I. Theoretical aspect of membrane potentials in membranes having inhomogeneously distributed fixed-charge groups

Article Abstract:

A study on new theoretical model of ionic transport across charged membranes with low water content is presented. The results suggested that the model is more versatile for a theoretical analysis of the ionic transport of charged membranes, especially in the low-water-content membrane system and the organic solvent system.

Multilayer diffusion behavior and the swelling effect of 1-butene and propylene in dry AgNO(sub 3)-doped perfluorocarbon type ion-exchange membranes

Article Abstract:

An explanation of the transport mechanism of 1-butene and propylene through dry AgNO(sub 3)-doped PSM membranes is detailed. This is achieved by multilayer diffusion together with the swelling of the surrounding polymer pendant side chains by the sorbed alkene molecules.

Sorption behavior of 1-butene in perfluorocarbon type ion-exchange membranes doped with various silver salts

Article Abstract:

Research into the sorption mechanism of 1-butene in dry silver salt-doped perfluorosulfonate membranes and the anion effect on the sigma-pi complexation of Ag+/1-butene is presented. The interaction energy and the limiting heat had almost the same tendency.
