Competitive vaporization and decomposition of liquid RDX

Article Abstract:

An investigation of the thermal decomposition of hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine (RDX) is presented. Closed pan experiments indicate that gas phase decomposition of RDX contributes during later stages of the decomposition.

A DSC study of alpha- and Beta-relaxations in a PS-clay system

Article Abstract:

The use of differential scanning calorimetry to study the alpha-relaxation and Beta-relaxation in virgin polystyrene-clay nanocomposite is described. The characterization of the relaxations by determining the effective activation energies is also presented.

Kinetic study of stabilizing effect of oxygen on thermal degradation of poly(methyl methacrylate)

Article Abstract:

Atmospheres containing pure nitrogen and oxygen have been used to study thermal degradation of poly(methyl methacrylate). Dependence of the effective activation energy on the degradation extent has been determined by model-free isoconversional method.
