Li (super +) diffusion and its structural basis in the nanocrystalline and amorphous forms of two-dimensionally ion-conducting Li (sub x) TiS2

Article Abstract:

The layered fast ion conductor Li (sub x) TiS2 (x equivalent 2/3) are prepared in nanocrystalline (n-Li [sub x] TiS2) and amorphous (a-Li [sub x] TiS2) forms. Hence, a direct comparison of the lithium diffusion in a homogeneously and heterogeneously disordered material with the same composition is possible.

Tracing the reactive melting of glass-forming silicate batches by in situ 23Na NMR

Article Abstract:

The kinetics of the silicate batch reaction are investigated by in situ (super 23)Na nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy using a laser-heated probe. The technique allows to study solid-state reactions at high temperatures with good time resolution and without the risk of quenching artifacts.

Microscopic access to long-range diffusion parameters of the fast lithium ion conductor [Li.sub.7]Bi[O.sub.6] by solid state [super 7]Li stimulated echo NMR

Article Abstract:

The Li self-diffusion in rhombohedral [Li.sub.7]Bi[O.sub.6] studied through [super 7]Li stimulated echo NMR that was observed to give microscopic access to long-range transport is reported.
