Physiochemical properties and structures of room temperature ionic liquids. 1. Variation of anionic species

Article Abstract:

Room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) based on 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium with a variety of fluorinated anions are prepared, and the thermal behavior, density, viscosity, self-diffusion coefficients of the cations and anions, and ionic conductivity are measured over a wide temperature range. The results reveal that the ratio A(sub imp)/A(sub NMR) is a useful parameter to characterize various properties of the RTILs with varying anionic species.

Bronsted acid-base ionic liquids as proton-conducting nonacqueos electrolytes

Article Abstract:

A new series of bronsted acid-base ionic liquids were derived from the controlled combination of a monoprotonic acid with an organic base under solvent-free conditions. Appropriate amounts of solid bis- (trifluoromethanesulfonyl) amide (HTFSI) and solid imidazole (Im) were mixed at various molar ratios to have compositions varying from an equimolar salt to HTFSI- or Im-rich conditions.

I want to search some thing about superacids which they based on ion liquids, for reaction izomerization.
