Preparation process and upconversion luminescence of Er(super 3+) -doped glass ceramics containing Ba2LaF(sub 7) nanocrystals

Article Abstract:

The preparation process and upconversion luminescence of the Er(super 3+) -doped glass ceramics containing Ba(sub 2-)LaF(sub 7) nanocrystals were investigated. The mixture of Ba(sub 2)LaF(sub 7) and La(sub 2)O(sub 3) nanocrystals and the mixture of La(sub 2)F(sub 3) and La(sub 2)O(sub 3) nanocrystals in the glass ceramics could be obtained by controlling different compositions of glasses.

Tetragonal nanocrystals from the Zr0.5Ce0.5O2 solid solution by hydrothermal method

Article Abstract:

The conformation details of the t"-form of the tetragonal phase formation in the nanocrystalline Zr0.5Ce0.5O2.nH2O solid solution prepared by the hydrothermal methods for the first time is reported. The phase separation of the t"-form into the t-form and the cubic phases occurred at around 1100 degree Celsius for the nanocrystalline Zr0.5Ce0.5O2 solid solution.

Red to blue tunable upconversion in Tm(super 3+)-doped ZrO2 nanocrystals

Article Abstract:

The effect of dopant concentration on the blue upconversion (UPC) emission of Tm3+-doped ZrO2 nanocrystals under different excitation wavelengths in the red region is reported. The result reveals that the UPC emissions are due to the f-f electronic transitions from excited states (super 1)G(sub 4) and (super 1)D(sub 2) of Tm(super 3+).
