Sigma-Aldrich Fine Chemicals (SAFC) Hitech revealed its 5-year strategic plan for metalorganic chemical vapour deposition (MOCVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD) processes on silicon semiconductor substrates. The company has also started a strategic alliance with Memsstar Technology. A thorough discussion of the "chemical roadmap" and the alliance are presented.

Evoniks takes stake in battery firm Li-Tec

Article Abstract:

Evonik Industries is taking a 20% stake in lithium-ion battery components manufacturer Li-Tec, and both will join an R&D initiative with BASF, Bosch and Volkswagen. The 60-million-euro project aims to develop batteries for use in new energy and energy conservation applications. The Evonik's other investments are discussed.
