Studies of photoinduced electron transfer and energy migration in a conjugated polymer system for fluorescence 'turn-on' chemosensor applications

Article Abstract:

The synthesis and photophysical studies of the polymer series is reported with the goal of investigating the photoinduced electron transfer [PET] process between the poly[p- (phenyleneethynylene)-alt-(thienyleneethynylene)] [PPETE] polymer backbone and the amino receptor as a function of loading. Photophysical studies of these polymers show that the relative loading of the amino group has negligible structural or electronic distortion of the polymer backbone in the ground or excited state.

Single-crystal high-frequency electron paramagnetic resonance investigation of a tetranuclear iron(III) single-molecule magnet

Article Abstract:

Single crystals of planar tetranuclear complex Fe4(OCH3)(sub 6)(dpm)(sub 6), which were earlier shown to have a typical single-molecule magnet behavior are studied using a high-frequency electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) study. It is seen that as the temperature increases, the separation between the individual lines decreases and vanishes, which may be caused due to the contribution of fast relaxing excited states, whose population varies with temperature.

Antiferromagnetic resonance studies on the spin-canted molecular magnet beta-p-NCC6F4CNSSN

Article Abstract:

A single-crystal electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) studies on the beta-polymorph of the organic magnet p-NCC6F4CNSSN is presented. The results revealed that the crystallographic c-axis corresponds to the intermediate axis of magnetization with the magnetic easy axis parallel to the b-axis.
