Temperature and flow rate of NH3 effects on nitrogen content and doping environments of carbon nanotubes grown by injection CVD method

Article Abstract:

Large-scale and vertically aligned nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes were synthesized by pyrolysis of pyridine with ferrocene as the catalysts under either pure NH3 or a mixture of NH3 and argon atmosphere using injection chemical vapor deposition method. It is suggested that with the change in the growth temperature of flow rate of NH3, nitrogen concentration and nitrogen doping environments of carbon nanotubes could be controlled.

Effect of the nature of the counterion on the properties of anionic surfactants. 5. Self-association behavior and micellar properties of ammonium dodecyl sulfate

Article Abstract:

Different methods like time-resolved fluorescence quenching (TRFQ), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), conductivity, Krafft temperature, and density measurements are used to characterize the micelles that are formed in water from ammonium dodecyl sulfate (AmDS). The ionization degree of the AmDS micelles is determined from electrical conductivity data using Evans' method.

Spectroscopic studies of dehydrogenation of ammonia borane in carbon cryogel

Article Abstract:

The spectroscopic studies of the reaction pathways resulting in the thermal decomposition of solid-state ammonia borane (AB) incorporated in carbon cryogels (CC) are reported. The results reveal that the incorporation of AB in CC enhances the reaction kinetics with residual surface-bound oxygen functional groups.
