Fluorinated compounds have been gaining popularity in the pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals industries due to the high electronegativity of flourine that increases the stability and reactivity of a molecule. These compounds are used for various chemical reactions involved in drugs manufacturing. The different applications of flourine and flourinated compounds are presented.

Chinese clinical research organization (CRO) WuXi PharmaTech will launch itself on the New York Stock Exchange. Approximately 13.2 million American Depository Shares will be offered at around 8.00-9.50 euro/share. Also presented are the estimated proceeds of this move of WuXi and the company's forecasts.
