Bonding and organic and inorganic reactivity of metal-coordinated phosphinoenolates and related functional phosphine-derived anions

Article Abstract:

The reactions involving electrophilic metal centers include either enolate carbon-based or iminolate nitrogen-based and oxygen-based reactivity. They include transmetalation reactions and additions to phosphinoenolates or phosphinoiminolates, and the ability of transition metals to influence the reactivity of the enolate or iminolate functionality is due to the presence of a coordinating heteroatom.

Dehydrogenative coupling of hydrostannanes catalyzed by transition-metal complexes

Article Abstract:

This paper discusses the chemistry of hydrostannanes in relation to their utility in the synthesis of organotin compounds, distannanes and polystannanes. Research shows that group 4 transition-metals, iron-palladium complexes, catalyze the synthesis of these compounds from hydrostannanes via the dehydrogenative coupling reactions. Mechanastic aspects of the catalysis are presented.

Recent advances in the transition-metal-catalyzed regioselective approaches to polysubstituted benzene derivatives

Article Abstract:

The regioselective synthetic approaches to polysubstituted benzenes are carried out by stepwise addition of protected substituents via electrophilic substitution reactions. This review discusses recent advances in this field and focuses on the transition-metal-catalyzed cyclotrimerization and cycloaddition reactions in the regioselective synthesis of polysubstituted benzenes.
