Article Abstract:

The major progress and developments in inhibitors of the folate pathway enzymes involved in folic acid biosynthesis are discussed. Starting from guanosine triphosphate, six enzymes are involved in the biosynthesis of tetrahydrofolic acid, and the inhibitors of these enzymes fall under the term 'antifolates'.

Peptide conjugates of oligonucleotides: Synthesis and applications

The research findings related to almost all aspects of the peptide-oligonucleotide conjugates are discussed. It is revealed that the bioconjugates serve as promising models to explain the anticancer activity of platinum complexes, which may be extended to other drugs as well.
