Dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl sulfoxide and their oxidation in the atmosphere

Article Abstract:

Review of the available knowledge about the biosynthetic sources of both organic and inorganic sulphur compounds, focusing on the pathways for gas-phase atmospheric degradation of Dimethyl sulphide (DMS) and their oxidation products is presented. It is showed that the emission of DMS from the ocean surface can significantly influence the amount of radiations coming from the Earth, and possibly the climate regulation.

Conducting metal dithiolene complexes: structural and electronic properties

Article Abstract:

Metal dithiolene complexes have provided a number of unique molecular conductors and will remain the vast frontier of highly functionalized molecular systems. The two-MO picture, the interplay of the HOMO and LUMO associated with the small HOMO-LUMO level splitting is an essential and fascinating part of the electronic structure.

Advances in the synthesis and catalytic applications of organosulfonic-functionalized mesostructured materials

Article Abstract:

The synthesis and application of novel acid catalysts based on sulfonic-modified mesostructured materials is described. It shows better catalytic performance than conventional homogeneous and other heterogeneous catalytic systems.
