3.5-inch floppy discs store camera images quickly

Article Abstract:

Sony Corp. markets the Digital Mavica MVC-FD71 and Digital Mavica MVC-FD51 digital still cameras, which record images onto 3.5-inch floppy discs. To record on the floppy discs, MVC-FD71 utilizes the MaviCap MVC-FDR3 image capture adapter, while the MVC-FD51 makes use of the MaviCap MVC-FDR1 adapter. The MVC-FD71 is found to write 60% faster than its predecessor MVC-FD7, with recording completed within four seconds. The MVC-FD51, which has a 2x-speed floppy drive and Sony's Picture Effect Function, can create special effects such as negative art and sepia coloring.
