Automation Outlook

Article Abstract:

Current events in the office automation and personal computer industry have more to do with the financial situation of various companies than with the products they manufacture, or so it seems in early 1985. The so-called shake-out is having an unsettling effect among users, especially those caught with costly equipment made by a company that may be going out of business. Such systems may be presently operational, but could prove difficult to maintain or expand in the future.
