Casio: feature-packed ECRs riffle through details on memory cards: TK-2300

Article Abstract:

Casio Computer Co. Ltd. releases the TK-2300 electronic cash register (ECR) that carries out registration, security and guest-check tracking functions. The product offers such features as clerk-training mode, a dot-matrix printer, large display panel, 10-key input for prices, 108 price look-up keys, pop-up rotary customer display and error messages. The TK-2300 provides the RAC-5 64KB or the RAC-6 128KB memory cards as well as versatile memory allocation capabilities. Customers choose between the two memory cards to specify program data for saving or loading.

Article Abstract:

Casio Computer Co. Ltd. rolls out the QT-2000 modular electronic cash register (ECR) terminal that is ideal to be used in the hospitality industry. The product is unusually thin and flat, and functions as a master system or as a backup master system. It can store program and data files when used with a large-capacity flash memory. Without employing an EPROM, the QT-2000 allows users to download new software online or inline, or via an infrared port. Customers are also provided simple on-screen instructions to install the system.

Article Abstract:

Casio Computer Co. Ltd. offers the SA-5000 electronic cash registers (ECRs) series that are ideal for department stores, grocery stores and other retail businesses. The new ECRs uses a 4MB standard memory expandable to 32MB and operates under UNIX, OS/2, MS-DOS, Windows v3.1 and Windows95 operating systems. The series come with either a dot-matric or thermal printers and color or monochrome LCDs. Other features include a 1.44MB floppy disc drive for 3.5-inch discs, an 850MB hard disc drive and a 32KB non-volatile RAM.
