There has been an increase in the demand for solar-powered, desk- top calculators. These calculators represent thirty per cent of all desk calculators and eighty per cent of all portable calculators. Approximately 32,549,354 units were shipped between January and August, 1982. These calculators offer better performance and lower cost.
