What Matsushita Communications Expects of Office Automation

Article Abstract:

The Matsushita Communication Industrial Company is experiencing growth in the office automation market. Akisada Ogama, president, attributes this growth to such products as personal computers, Japanese language word processors, floppy disk drives, key telephones and data entry systems. He indicates that the company expects growth to continue in the export of products. The company is focusing upon the expansion and strengthening of digital technology. It continues to devote funds to the research and development of office automation products. An estimated $250 billion yen in sales is expected for this fiscal year.

Japan's Electronics Industry Expects 11.4% Growth

Article Abstract:

The Electronics Industries Association of Japan (EIAJ) estimates that Japanese production in the electronics industry will average 13.780 billion yen or 11.4 per cent growth in 1984. Industrial-use electronic equipment, instrument industry and electronics component industry are the areas that are experiencing considerable growth. The highest growth rate is expected for the electronics component sector. The EIAJ believes that the electronics industry will become the leading industry in the Japanese economy. A chart illustrates the growth rate of the electronics industry.

Office Machine Industry In Japan Expects 13.8% Growth This Year

Article Abstract:

According to the Japan Machine Makers Association, there will be a 13.8 per cent increase in sales for office equipment. This sales increase is expected to occur for the following products: electronic calculators, copying machines, office printers, microfilm equipment, alphanumeric typewriters, electronic cash registers, word processors. The demand for word processing systems will be a major contributor to this increase in sales.
