ComputerPREP intros 'Net skills courseware

Article Abstract:

ComputerPREP is introducing a courseware that is designed for Internet skills development. The product features a CD-ROM that allows instructors to teach even without being linked to the Internet. The simulated Web site on CD-ROM are contained in three of the company's Internet coursewares, namely, Internet Fundamentals, Using Microsoft Internet Explorer-Version 3.0 and Using Netscape Navigator-Version 3.0. The firm has two other products that it plans to launch by the end of 1997, namely, MS Internet Explorer 4.0 and Netscape Communicator.

Wave helps support reps broaden skills

Wave Technologies International Inc has launched an expanded curriculuim for courses geared towards A+ Certification candidates. The company's Computer Support and Services/Help Desk professional curriculum builds on its own A+ Certification program. The curriculum offers additional classroom and self-paced courses on networking, the Internet, Microsoft navigational tools, popular desktop applications and professional soft skills.

Big Blue bolsters education services

Article Abstract:

IBM Global Services Corp has announced the restructuring of its education and training programs under the new IBM Learning Services name. IBM said that it has expanded its curriculum, increased the offerings of consulting services and boosted its CBT and Web-delivered products. The company also announced that it will include programs such as e-commerce and ERP applications and enhance its training management systems.
