HP maps out specifics for NT services

Article Abstract:

Hewlett-Packard has unveiled the details of its alliance with Microsoft. Under the agreement, HP will incorporate Windows NT technologies and expertise into all of its systems-integration and enterprise-consulting services. Those services are classified into three categories: Total Cost of Ownership, Enterprise Windows NT Solutions, and Enterprise Heterogenous Environment Solutions. Russ McBrien, HP's worldwide initiative manager for those services, said the alliance with Microsoft is part of HP's strategy of building competencies adn skills in the enterprise consulting business.

Microsoft adds support

Article Abstract:

Microsoft Corp is introducing a new annual support plan for small and mid- size business users of Microsoft Back Office products. Priority Plus will be in addition to the Priority Support and Premier Support plans already being offered by the software giant. The growing number of Back Office users has necessitated the introduction of a middle-tier support plan, said Linda Glenicki, general manager of Microsoft's Technical Support Division.
