Teco Image Systems Co., Ltd. is among the new firms engaged in fax and scanner manufacturing. The firm, which became independent on October 1, 1997, is a spin-off of Teco Information Systems Co. Teco Electric and Machinery Co., Ltd., a recognized name in electrical equipment manufacture in Taiwan, is the parent of both Teco Image and Teco Information. The company employs 330 people in a 5.95 sq km facility, that has earned ISO9001 certification. Three production lines come up with 3,000 laser faxes every month although total capacity is pegged at 20,000 laser faxes monthly.

The machine, capable of transmitting a standard-sized page in six seconds, has a transmission memory of up to 21 pages of documents and a sequential transmission capability of up to 31 destinations. Canon's Fax-B150, which utilizes a Bubble Jet printer capable of printing at a speed of 2ppm at 360 by 360dpi, also offers a 20-page document feeder, 10 one-touch dials, 20 coded dials and the firm's Ultra High Quality image processor system.
