Invision 95

Article Abstract:

The Invision '95 product competition, held by NewMedia magazine, saw over 850 entries in eight categories. The competition's categories were consumer, games, information and reference, education, training, sales and marketing, personal and group projects, and technical and creative excellence. The top products are showcased, including eight that won the Award of Excellence, 29 Gold winners, and 79 Silver and Bronze winners. Under the consumer category, a selection of products included adult edutainment titles, children's titles, and interactive movies. The games category saw a wide variety of offerings, including role playing, sports and strategy games. Information and reference titles included electronic encyclopedias, electronic books, and CD-ROM/book combinations. Training titles included offerings in health care, manufacturing and business and government.

Nikonos RS underwater camera

Article Abstract:

The Nikonos RS underwater camera of Japan's Nikon Corp won the Best of Category award in the consumer products category of the 1992 I.D. Annual Design Review. The Nikonos has a detachable front-mounted lens and body that can water pressure at 100 meters depth. It is the first 35 mm single-lens reflex camera designed for underwater use. The design was executed by Giorgio Giugiaro of Giugiaro Design, Turin, Italy.
