Managers Need Their Own Workstations

Article Abstract:

Workstations for clerks, secretaries, and specialists are designed to create or access data bases, seach and sort files, input and edit text, manipulate data, output in various forms, and transmit information. Managers, on the other hand, should have portable workstations supporting a different set of functions. Manager's workstations should be designed for audio-visual applications such as dictation, voice or display messaging, graphics, and summary reporting.
