Memo: Pooling Knowledge

Article Abstract:

A survey of the Data Processing Management Association membership reveals that 40.5 per cent of their companies have established information centers and another nineteen per cent plan to do so soon. Information Centers should have separate budgets, according to 62.5 per cent of the respondents. The managers feel that strong top management support for the centers, from the planning stage on, backed by sufficient funds and human resources, is mandatory.

Memo: Ergonomic Necessity

Article Abstract:

Ergonomic design is becoming a necessity for marketing computer terminals. A larger number and variety of terminal users have caused the need for ergonomic considerations, as well as concern on the part of employers for the health of those they employ. Character and key design, display lighting, and image characteristics are included as part of human factors engineering.
