Networking efficiency, workgroup systems enrich Ricoh's fax development

Article Abstract:

Ricoh Company Ltd of Japan has made its presence felt in the facsimile equipment market by developing products that keep abreast of rapidly emerging technologies. Products include the FAX2900L, which can start transmission while documents are being scanned into memory. Users can scan A4 documents into memory in two seconds. The device features a 33.6Kbps modem that transmits an A4 page in three seconds. The FAX4800L Internet fax can be connected directly to local area network environments and scan and transmit a paper document as an attached electronic mail file.

Toshiba TEC concentrates on service, added value in fax business

Article Abstract:

Toshiba TEC Corp is boosting its sales of laser fax machines by implementing such strategies as enhanced service, total cost of ownership and reduced prices. The Japanese company's multi-function facsimiles include the TF631 model that can print out an incoming message and transmit several documents simultaneously. Over 50% of Toshiba TEC's facsimile sales come from the US, with the rest coming from Europe and Asia.
