PDPs form focus of Fujitsu-Hitachi venture

Fujitsu Hitachi Plasma Display Ltd will focus on developing, producing and selling big-screen plasma display panels (PDPs) in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Equal joint venture partners Fujitsu Ltd and Hitachi Ltd will each move big-screen PDP production activities in Fujitsu Hitachi. Fujitsu Kyushu Electronic Ltd's Miyazaki plant, where Fujitsu already makes PDPs, will be acquired by the joint venture.
