Targeting Women - The Business Approach

Article Abstract:

With more women paying the bills and taking an active role in purchasing decisions, consumer electronics vendors and manufacturers are directing advertising toward them. While there are still virtually no electronics ads in magazines like McCalls and Cosmopolitan, they are popping up in tabloids such as Savvy and Working Woman. Companies such as Radio Shack and Wang have created ads showing women on the job. Others are using their regular advertisements in these magazines. Photgraphs show sample advertisements.

A Systematic Approach In L.A

Article Abstract:

Al & Ed's Autosound Centers in Los Angelas are a leader in cellular telephone retailing in that area. They have approached it as an automotive accessory. The actual end direction the market will take is difficult to gauge from the present volatility. The biggest problem presently is the education of the consumer, retailer, and manufacturer in terms of the retailer needs. Much of their business comes from leasing.
